| Future hybrid gasoline-electric Vehicles Non-electric-grid-rechargeable = Does Not use cheap electricity or Renewable Energy Has few electric components, has an ice thus the same problems: uses & pollutes from gasoline & oil. Pollutes less by getting slightly better gas mileage than a conventional ICE car, still needs all the maintenance of an ICE.

Non-electric-grid-rechargeable = Does Not use cheap electricity or Renewable Energy Has few electric components, uses & pollutes from oil (hydrogen is derived from oil, methanol from Mexican natural gas releases CO2 when used in a methanol fuel cell). Run cleaner than an internal combustion engine (ICE), but are still dependent on OPEC. Automakers choose a non-regenerative fuel cell which keeps consumers dependent on the oil producers. *Automakers did not choose regenerative Fuel Cells that could recharge from a electrical source. A grid rechargeable fuel cell Electric Vehicle (fcEV) is not available and would have the advantages of a battery EV and would be able to use the federally funded hydrogen refueling stations.
